“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.” – African Proverb

Very Respectfully is a way to live.

We are not here to drift through life.
We are not here to accidentally destroy what could have been meaningful, disciplined, and good.

We are responsible for what we build, what we practice, what we believe, and who we become.

Very Respectfully is a daily philosophical diary about living with reverence, clarity, and purpose.

Written in a masculine voice. It’s straight-talk.

Not noise.
Not outrage.
Not empty motivation.

It’s a quieter, deeper kind of writing for people who want to live wisely and leave something good behind.

Anthony

The Format

Every morning at 6am, you’ll receive:

  • One life question
  • One clear, thoughtful answer
  • One idea to carry with you throughout the day

400 words or less.
Two minutes to read.
A day to reflect & discover your answer.

The 365-Day Journey

This is not random content.
This is a daily practice.

Very Respectfully is a structured, intentional journey through the questions that shape a life:

  • Purpose
  • Discipline
  • Peace
  • Relationships
  • Responsibility
  • Faith
  • Identity
  • Becoming fully alive

The next cohort starts on June 1, 2026.
Follow the full arc over the next 364 days and you will change the trajectory of your life.

Miss a day, and you can return.
But stay consistent.

What You’ll Discover

  • How to find clarity in a distracted world
  • How to live with discipline without losing joy
  • How to think for yourself
  • How to build a life you respect
  • How to move from reaction to intention

These are not abstract ideas.

They are daily decisions.

Most people don’t live their life.
They react to it.

Why I write

I’ve seen what happens when a life is lived without intention. And I’ve seen what happens when it’s lived with it.

I write from the perspective of a man in the second half of life.

I have built, failed, learned, reflected, and kept searching for what is true.

This year, I turned 50 — so I’m in the 7th stage of life: Generativity vs. Stagnation.

I choose generativity.

That means I want to help others live better.
I want to help the next generation avoid unnecessary mistakes.
I want to pass on what I’ve learned in a way that is clear, honest, and useful.

This daily diary is part of that work.

Very Respectfully is an inheritance of answers to life’s questions.

If you stay long enough, your life will begin to change.

You’ll think more clearly.
You’ll act more intentionally.
You’ll live with greater peace and purpose.
You’ll find answers.

As Saint Irenaeus wrote:

“The glory of God is man fully alive.”
